So, my punac has used trpko as a taste description that is different to kiselo. What is it?

In my opinion, it would be described as something that dries out your mouth when consumed. Let's say it would be a taste of tannin in red wine

this fruit (oskorusa) is definition of trpko... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sorbus_domestica

my father makes about 20 types of home made liqueurs, and oskorusa is least popular one :D

trpko=neugodno gorko da trne jezik=astrignent

but people not used to IPAs might also use it to describe such high IBU beers

Thanks everyone. You've just proved how stupid I am because I've been trying to figure out what astringent is in Croatian also, and didn't make the connection ; )
